Job Description

Help build the fiber and communications backbone that enables high-performance computing at scale. As the Construction Manager - Telecommunication , you will lead the field delivery of telecommunications infrastructure and communication equipment across advanced data center campuses, including outside-plant and inside-plant fiber, structured cabling, pathways, telecom rooms, racks, cabinets, optical distribution equipment, and carrier interconnections. You will manage specialty contractors from preconstruction through testing and turnover, coordinating with design, network, compute, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver safe, high-quality installations with the capacity, diversity, and reliability required for HPC.

With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute.

We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent field experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of telecommunications or low-voltage construction management experience, preferably in mission-critical environments such as hyperscale or HPC data centers.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-building telecommunications scopes from design development and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Strong working knowledge of outside-plant and inside-plant fiber-optic systems, structured cabling, fiber distribution, splicing, termination, patching, labelling, and cable-management practices.
  • Experience delivering telecom rooms, meet-me rooms, entrance facilities, carrier demarcations, underground duct banks, handholes, pathways, cable tray, ladder rack, racks, cabinets, and associated grounding and bonding.
  • Ability to review telecommunications drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, BIM coordination models, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, method statements, and test plans.
  • Knowledge of applicable TIA, BICSI, NEC/NFPA, OSHA, firestopping, grounding and bonding, and local code requirements, along with fiber inspection, optical loss, OTDR, polarity, and link-certification practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple contractors and manage manpower, schedules, budgets, change orders, material deliveries, quality, and coordination across construction, engineering, network, compute, and operations teams.
  • Prior experience delivering telecommunications infrastructure for hyperscale, AI, or HPC data centers, including work adjacent to live mission-critical systems.
  • BICSI RCDD, DCDC, RTPM, PMP, OSHA 30, or comparable industry certification.
  • Experience with high-density fiber architectures, MPO/MTP and LC connectivity, optical distribution frames, overhead fiber raceway, diverse campus backbone routes, and carrier interconnections.
  • Familiarity with network equipment installation, integrated systems testing, cable and port records, digital turnover platforms, and data center commissioning.
  • Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or OSHA 30 are a plus.
