Construction Manager

Work location and schedule

• Work location is Riyadh; the posting specifies full-time office/project telework and on-site construction oversight.
• Construction runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week; flexibility to work night shifts and weekends is required.
• International single-person relocation is authorized.

Project and role overview

Major responsibilities

• Oversee contractor work and ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Lead site ES&H activities, conduct joint safety inspections, and support client safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Support contracting strategy, procurement, bid evaluation, negotiations, and management of awarded contracts.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, engineering deliverables, material deliveries, services, and submittals to maintain work fronts.
• Implement quality plans and ensure compliance with project requirements, IFC drawings, standards, codes, and specifications.
• Report contractor activity and cost changes before out-of-scope costs or time are incurred.
• Review construction plans, submittals, method statements, risk assessments, and weekly progress reports; drive required milestone dates.
• Develop field staff, promote team morale, and mentor and monitor team and contractor performance.
• Ensure required permits and licenses are in place before site work begins.
• Coordinate project interfaces and support systematic completion and handover of construction activities.

Education and experience

• A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and/or specialized courses in construction management.
• Minimum 17–20 years of construction-project experience.
• Proven knowledge and experience in large-scale, fast-paced construction projects.
• KSA, Middle East, or GCC experience is required.

Required knowledge and skills

• Strong written and spoken English is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed to maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Must work independently, exercise professional judgment, take ownership, and provide technical leadership.
• Must anticipate potential problems and propose solutions that protect cost, schedule, and quality.
