Construction Manager

Company Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from design coordination and permitting through construction, testing, completion, and handover.
• Lead direct labor teams including carpenters, steel fixers, masons, electricians, plumbers, painters, and helpers.
• Plan and manage labor deployment, productivity, and work sequencing.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and recovery plans.
• Manage procurement planning and material delivery schedules.
• Monitor project costs and report budget variances.
• Review drawings and identify construction issues before execution.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defence, and other authority requirements.
• Conduct weekly progress reviews and reporting.
• Manage project close-out, snagging, authority approvals, and handover.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years UAE construction experience.
• Extensive experience delivering villas and low-rise buildings.
• Experience managing direct labor forces, not only subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of concrete, steel fixing, formwork, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP coordination.
• Ability to independently manage projects from permit approval to handover.
• Strong planning and scheduling capability.
• Proficiency in Excel and Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Strong understanding of Dubai Municipality and local authority processes.

Preferred

• DM-certified engineer.
• Experience working within owner-developer or family-owned construction businesses.
• Arabic speaking is an advantage.
