Construction Manager - Data Centres

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects across the UAE. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the full construction lifecycle from mobilisation through to practical completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to a professional with deep experience in technically complex, MEP-heavy build environments.

Requirements

→ 10+ years of construction management experience, with a minimum of 3 years on data centre, mission-critical, or technically complex commercial projects

→ Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

→ Proven experience managing projects with contract values of AED 200M+

→ Strong command of MEP coordination in high-specification environments (UPS, generators, cooling systems, raised floors)

→ Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, or equivalent)

→ Demonstrated ability to manage Tier 1 main contractors, subcontractor packages, and large multi-disciplinary site teams

→ Thorough knowledge of UAE construction regulations, Health & Safety standards, and authority approval processes

→ Experience with LEED, TIA-942, or Uptime Institute certification processes is highly advantageous

→ Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations at senior level → PMP, CIOB, or equivalent professional accreditation preferred

Responsibilities

→ Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through to handover and close-out

→ Manage and coordinate Tier 1 contractors, specialist subcontractors, and commissioning teams across concurrent work fronts

→ Drive programme delivery, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain schedule

→ Oversee quality management processes, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with project specifications, ITP requirements, and design intent

→ Chair regular site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings with the client, design consultants, and contractors

→ Monitor and report on cost performance, reviewing valuations, variations, and change orders in collaboration with the commercial team

→ Enforce site-wide HSE standards and foster a zero-incident safety culture across all site personnel and contractors

→ Manage the RFI, submittal, and technical query process, ensuring timely resolution to prevent programme impact

→ Coordinate MEP systems installation, integration, and pre-commissioning activities in line with critical systems requirements

→ Maintain detailed site records, progress reports, and executive-level project dashboards for internal and client reporting

→ Support the commissioning and handover process, including witnessing of FAT/SAT testing and snagging resolution
