Construction Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities against approved schedules, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Lead project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Plan and monitor work and milestones across structural, architectural, civil, and finishing activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Monitor progress and subcontractor performance; resolve delays, risks, and technical or operational challenges.
• Manage manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, specifications, UAE regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate civil, architectural, MEP, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Drive completion, testing, inspections, snagging, and handover; report progress to senior management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10–15 years of overall construction experience; experience with established UAE construction or contracting companies is preferred.
• Direct experience managing high-rise building or hotel construction projects is required.
• Experience managing large-scale building construction from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site teams, subcontractors, and multiple construction activities.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of structural, civil, architectural, and finishing works.
• Understanding of construction methods, project planning, quality control, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Leadership, decision-making, coordination, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred experience

• High-rise building or hotel project experience is required; applicants limited to villas, infrastructure, roads, utilities, or maintenance without relevant high-rise or hotel exposure will not be considered.
