Job purpose
Lead on-site execution of a flagship data center construction project in Qatar.
The role calls for a civil or MEP engineering foundation and delivery of a resilient, mission-critical facility on schedule and within budget.
Construction and site management
- Direct daily site activities in line with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Manage structural civil work or oversee MEP installations, including power, cooling, generators, fire suppression, and BMS.
- Coordinate civil structural handovers with MEP first- and second-fix work.
Progress and subcontractor coordination
- Track the baseline schedule, identify delays and bottlenecks, and implement recovery plans for data center milestones.
- Review progress with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors and resolve site conflicts.
- Coordinate subcontractor performance, manpower, and materials across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP work.
- Work with site logistics to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and tools to work areas.
Quality, commissioning, and safety
- Enforce mission-critical data center quality standards, clean-room requirements, and tolerances.
- Oversee inspections with QA/QC and client consultants and support punch-list resolution.
- Assist testing and commissioning teams during pre-commissioning.
- Promote a zero-accident safety culture and enforce Qatar construction safety regulations and project HSE directives.
Background
- A solid foundation in either civil or MEP engineering.
Pay
- QAR 9,500–18,000 per month.
