Construction Intern

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a construction-related degree program or equivalent (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.).
• Strong interest in construction and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with basic construction tools or the willingness to learn.
• Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to read computer screens, email and talk on the phone.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly, up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and /or humid conditions; mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• The noise level in work environment is usually low to moderate in the office and moderate to high in the field.
