Compliance Manager (Arabic Speaker)

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls that support the company's business objectives.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and industry requirements relevant to real estate development.
• Identify compliance risks and work with stakeholders to implement effective mitigation measures.
• Keep management informed of regulatory changes and their potential impact on the business.
• Review contracts, agreements, and business processes to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and investigations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Deliver compliance awareness and training programs to employees.
• Act as the main point of contact with regulators, auditors, legal advisors, and government authorities on compliance-related matters.
• Support initiatives related to corporate governance, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering (AML), and ethical business practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of compliance experience within the UAE, preferably with a reputable organization.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic, spoken and written, is essential.
• Hands-on experience working in the real estate development sector, with a good understanding of the regulatory environment and industry practices.
• Strong knowledge of UAE compliance regulations, corporate governance principles, risk management, and AML requirements.
• Experience in developing compliance frameworks, conducting audits and risk assessments, and managing regulatory reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Professional compliance certifications (such as ICA, CAMS, or similar) would be an advantage.
