Community Order Support (COS) Officer

Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide unarmed community officer support services
• Provides mobile, roving, and static unarmed community order support services. Duties include roving (foot), mobile (vehicle), and static patrols.
• Role includes providing first response; recording incidents; and providing specialized unarmed community order support (COS) services and unarmed protection/safety services.
• Work responsibilities include performing static, dismounted (foot), and mounted (vehicle) community order patrols to maintain order, protect personnel and resources, and respond to calls for service.

Qualifications

• **Minimum Qualifications**
• **Education / Certifications:** One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High School Diploma

• **Experience:**
• + Minimum 3 years’ security or law enforcement/military experience.
• **Other Requirements:**
• + Be at least 21 years of age.
• + Be a U.S. citizen.
• + Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
• + Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract.
• + Meet all standards as required by the contract.
• + Have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
• + Must possess Active Secret Security Clearance
• + Must pass pre-deployment requirements including drug test, medical, 52 hours of training, and a psychological exam.
• + Must be able to pass a physical fitness test (PFT)
• + Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
• Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• + Employees must be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Qatar for extended periods.
• Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and twelve (12) hours per day.
• Work is performed in shifts and may include day or night shift.
• + Employees must be able to lift, carry and/or wear forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and be capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
• All staff must maintain physical, medical, and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
