Commodity Hedging & Trading Specialist

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor international coffee and copper markets and price movements.
• Support hedging of physical purchases and inventory using futures, options, and other appropriate instruments.
• Follow ICE coffee and LME copper markets.
• Calculate physical commodity price exposure and recommend appropriate hedge positions.
• Execute and monitor paper-market positions based on approved strategies.
• Track open positions, margins, P&L, and hedge performance.
• Prepare simple daily and weekly market and exposure reports.
• Coordinate with physical trading, finance, and management teams.
• Support management with market information when determining purchase and selling prices.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of commodity futures, options, and hedging.
• Understanding of physical commodity trading and its relationship with paper markets.
• Familiarity with coffee, agricultural commodities, metals, or copper is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICE and/or LME markets is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Practical knowledge is more important than seniority or management experience.
• Candidates with experience as a trading operator, dealer, junior trader, hedging specialist, or commodity analyst are welcome.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 8,000 to AED 12,000 per month.

Workplace

• The work location is in person in Dubai.
• Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Dubai or plan to relocate before starting.

Experience and Education

• A minimum of five years of experience in general trading and relevant industry knowledge is stated as required.
• Four years of general trading experience is also listed as required.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
