Position overview

Execute commissioning of MV/LV power systems and their interfaces with MEP systems, including HVAC, Fire, and BMS.

Support safe, compliant, documented, on-schedule handover with complete and auditable records.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute the approved commissioning plan, including lots, sequences, and windows; maintain daily progress and punch/defect logs.
  • Perform tests per approved Method Statements, ITPs, and test packs; capture results with traceable evidence.
  • Perform or witness ELV systems: Fire Alarm and PAVA, BMS interfaces, Access/CCTV, Car-Park Management, Emergency Lighting, Lighting Control, and Telecom.
  • Perform or witness LV systems: Generator, ATS, MDB/SMDB/DB, MCC/VFD, PFC, UPS, earthing/grounding, and lighting and power circuits.
  • Witness or support MV (~13.8 kV) switchgear, transformers, and cables; verify pre-energization prerequisites via checklists.
  • Participate in SAT/IST, follow step-by-step procedures, log deviations, and provide inputs to RFI/NCR closure.
  • Verify installation against drawings, specifications, and codes; raise nonconformities and track them to closure.
  • Prepare evidence packs for Saudi Civil Defense Fire/ELV inspections and support SEC/House of Expertise engagements.
  • Submit weekly status to the Commissioning Manager, escalate risks early, and coordinate with GC, subcontractors, vendors, and the consultant.

Required qualifications

  • 3–5 years of electrical testing and commissioning experience on buildings, industrial projects, or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with ITPs, test packs, and SAT/IST; competent use of test instruments for insulation, continuity, earthing, power quality, or similar tests.
  • Working knowledge of SBC, IEC/BS EN, and NFPA; HSE awareness, including PTW/LOTO.
  • Clear technical reporting, drawing/specification literacy, and follow-through on actions.

Preferred qualifications

  • BMS or Fire Alarm interfaces during IST; ELV familiarity is a plus, not core.
  • Exposure to ABB/Schneider/Siemens switchgear, Cummins/Kohler generator sets, or APC/Eaton UPS.
  • Digital tools for snagging/commissioning and Power BI/advanced Excel for trackers and dashboards.
  • Authority or third-party approvals experience, including utility tie-ins or Civil Defense/House of Expertise, where applicable.

Location and work arrangement

  • Location: Riyadh, KSA.
  • Employment is full-time and on-site.
