Role overview

Food preparation

• Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food-preparation checklists.
• Portion, chop, and store ingredients before use.
• Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely to prepare baked foods.
• Monitor food quality and portions served throughout the shift.

Kitchen safety and sanitation

• Follow food-safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures.
• Check temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
• Wash and disinfect the kitchen, set up and break down the workstation, and follow cleaning and sanitation procedures.

Workplace conduct

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
• Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Preferred related work experience is less than one year.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.

Workplace

• The position is not remote and is based at the specified Doha hotel location.
• The work involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping; and moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Schedule

• The schedule is full-time.
