COMMIS II – PIZZA & KITCHEN

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support daily pizza and Bacio mise en place; prepare and portion toppings, fillings and ingredients.
• Assist with dough trays, dough balls and proofing arrangements, and learn dough handling, shaping and stretching.
• Support pizza and Bacio assembly during service and assist the Chef de Partie and Commis I as instructed.
• Label, store and rotate ingredients; replenish ingredients and packaging during service.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation; wash and sanitise equipment, utensils and food-contact surfaces.
• Follow recipes and portion controls, support stock checks and minimise food waste.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene and allergen procedures and participate in practical training and competency reviews.

Candidate requirements

• Basic experience in pizza, bakery, hot kitchen or food preparation.
• Fundamental understanding of kitchen hygiene and mise en place; willingness to learn pizza and dough-production techniques.
• Able to follow instructions accurately; reliable, punctual, hardworking and a good team member.
• Flexible and willing to assist across kitchen duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is strongly preferred.

Pay and package

• Salary is AED 1,800–2,000 per month, inclusive of accommodation and transportation.
• Duty meals are not included. Employment, visa and statutory benefits are subject to applicable UAE requirements and the agreed employment arrangement.
• Practical pizza, dough and kitchen training is provided; there may be an opportunity for longer-term development within Fold.

Schedule and start

• Full-time employment with one weekly day off.
• Start is immediate or as soon as possible.

Workplace

• Work location is in person in Al Ain, UAE.

Selection process

• Shortlisted candidates attend an interview and practical assessment covering preparation, hygiene, organisation, portioning, ability to follow instructions and general kitchen aptitude.
