As a

Commis Ii

  • , you will assist in the daily preparation and cooking of food items within your assigned kitchen section.
  • Working under the supervision of senior chefs, you will follow standard recipes and production procedures while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
  • This role is designed to strengthen your culinary skills and support the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items according to standard recipes.
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and mise en place.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, and portioning as required.
  • Follow instructions from Commis I, Demi Chef de Partie, or Chef de Partie.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food items using FIFO procedures.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
  • Support timely preparation of food during service periods.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior kitchen team.
