Café is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Commis – Hot Kitchen to join its kitchen team.
Kitchen responsibilities
- Assist with daily hot-kitchen food preparation and mise en place.
- Prepare and cook food to company recipes and quality standards, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting.
- Maintain consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Handle, store, label, and rotate food items properly; follow FIFO, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and workstation clean and organized.
- Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs during daily operations and busy service periods.
- Minimize food waste, use ingredients efficiently, follow company policies and senior-chef instructions, and work effectively with the kitchen team.
Requirements
- F&B or hospitality experience is required.
- Experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, catering, or similar environment.
- Previous Commis Chef, Kitchen Commis, or Hot Kitchen Commis experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hot kitchen operations and cooking techniques; good understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
Pay
- QAR 1–2 per month, as stated in the posting.
