A Commi 1 Chef will assist the kitchen team in producing dishes for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to restaurant standards.
- Prepare ingredients for service and maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and food quality standards.
- Contribute to new dishes and menu development.
- Work with the team to meet peak service demands.
- Monitor inventory and report stock shortages or issues to the kitchen supervisor.
- Support other kitchen roles to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commi 1 Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; passion for food and quality dishes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
