The Commis Chef manages breakfast cooking and assists with lunch service.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and clean down the kitchen after breakfast.
- Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic and ensure stocks are stored in optimum conditions.
- Prepare fresh mise en place on time and follow recipes and quantities.
- Maintain high standards of food production, preparation, and presentation.
- Assist with menus and new dishes and prepare different breakfast egg dishes.
Service, Coordination, and Standards
- Communicate anticipated issues to the Head Chef and guest feedback or complaints to the Executive Chef.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, quality, operations, and food costs; treat staff fairly and courteously.
- Coordinate daily breakfast raw materials with the Purchase Manager and meet cost and budget targets.
- Follow applicable legislation, maintain required records, and adhere to health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Standards
- Knowledge of health and safety, hygiene, equal opportunities, HACCP, and applicable legislation.
- Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally.
- Meet personal grooming, cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Pay and Employment
- Contract role paying AED 2,399–2,400 per month.
