We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis I to join our dynamic kitchen team in Mumbai, India. As a Commis I, you will be an integral part of our culinary operations, working alongside experienced chefs and kitchen professionals to deliver exceptional food preparation and service. • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, standards, and quality guidelines
• Assist in plating and presenting dishes with precision and creativity to meet organizational standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation requirements
• Support senior kitchen staff with food preparation tasks and kitchen operations
• Monitor, maintain, and order kitchen stocks and supplies in a timely manner
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain food quality and safety
• Demonstrate excellent hygiene practices and maintain appropriate grooming standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet service demands and kitchen goals
• Follow all food safety protocols and code of conduct requirements
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive kitchen culture through teamwork and communication
• Creative passion for culinary arts and food preparation
• Proven ability to work efficiently in high-pressure kitchen environments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices (food handler certification preferred)
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and grooming
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible approach to work schedules and willingness to adapt to operational needs
• Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control
