We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Commercial Space Architect, Warehouse Designer to work on a full-time basis.
This person will design and optimize physical environments that support robotics, hardware, and AI operations, combining architecture, industrial design, and operational systems thinking to create facilities that maximize throughput, safety, and scalability.
The successful candidate will help shape warehouses, labs, and production environments by translating technical requirements into high-performance spaces that enable efficient human and machine workflows, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate facility layouts, identifying risks and optimization opportunities across robotics operations, repair areas, charging infrastructure, receiving, storage, QC, network rooms, and operator workspaces to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Assess facilities for operational readiness, including evaluating the condition and capacity of existing infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and developing recommendations for upgrades or modifications.
- Develop and implement design solutions that balance technical requirements with operational needs, ensuring that facilities are optimized for human and machine workflows, and that safety and scalability are prioritized.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure that design solutions align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to evaluate facility conditions, identify potential issues, and develop recommendations for improvements or modifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in architecture, industrial design, or a related field, with a focus on commercial or industrial design, and experience with facility design and optimization.
- Proven ability to review and evaluate facility layouts, identify risks and optimization opportunities, and develop effective design solutions that balance technical and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management.
- Strong understanding of operational systems thinking, and the ability to apply this knowledge to design and optimize facilities that support robotics, hardware, and AI operations.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools, such as CAD or BIM software, and experience with facility design and optimization methodologies.
