About Your Role
As our Color Matcher, you will be responsible for developing, matching, and approving color formulations for masterbatch in line with customer requirements and company standards.
About Your Responsibilities
- Match and develop colors according to customer samples, specifications, or references.
- Prepare and test laboratory batches of masterbatch for color, dispersion, and performance properties.
- Record and maintain accurate formulation data, test results, and sample references.
- Ensure color consistency and compliance with physical, chemical, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to production during scale-up and manufacturing new color matches.
- Troubleshoot quality or processing issues related to color, pigment dispersion, or performance.
- Work closely with sales, technical, and production teams to deliver solutions on time.
- Continuously improve formulations for cost optimization, quality enhancement, and sustainability.
- Stay updated on new pigments, additives, and industry trends relevant to masterbatch technology.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in color matching, pigment dispersion, or polymer compounding (masterbatch, plastics, or coatings industry).
- Strong knowledge of pigments, additives, and polymer carriers (PE, PP, PET, PS, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (twin-screw extruders, spectrophotometers, injection molding machines, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in MS Office, Oracle JD Edwards
