Employment and compensation

  • Permanent, full-time, daytime position, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary is £95,000–£105,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus car allowance and bonus.

Role overview

Senior operational and commercial owner for a key client account at cluster level across multiple distribution centres.

Provides end-to-end leadership, governance and assurance, translating strategic objectives into consistent operational delivery.

Account ownership and stakeholder management

  • Own overall operational performance, stability and delivery across the cluster and ensure consistent execution across sites.
  • Provide data-driven performance, risk and recovery insights; serve as a key escalation interface for senior stakeholders.
  • Build stakeholder relationships through transparency, control and delivery, with regular performance, risk and opportunity updates.

Operational performance and risk

  • Drive safety, service, productivity, cost, quality and inventory performance; challenge sites and ensure recovery plans are in place.
  • Align capacity, labour, systems and infrastructure with business needs.
  • Manage operational and commercial risks proactively, resolve issues at root cause and assure operational stability and control.

Leadership, strategy and compliance

  • Lead, coach and develop Site Managers; drive consistency, accountability and collaboration and build leadership succession.
  • Translate strategy into executable plans and lead transformation and continuous improvement for consistent, sustainable change.
  • Promote health and safety and ensure compliance with legal and internal standards; monitor safety performance and risks.

Candidate profile

  • Senior operational and commercial leader with multi-site performance and delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated focus on consistency, governance and operational excellence across a cluster.
  • Experienced in performance management, risk solutions, and leading and developing site leadership teams.
  • Skilled at translating strategy into operational plans and driving improvement and transformation.
  • Data-driven, commercially aware and results-focused, with strong health and safety and compliance advocacy.
