Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloudera Administrator to manage and optimize our big data platform
built on Cloudera Data Platform.
This role ensures high availability, scalability, and
performance of data infrastructure supporting our SaaS products and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environments
- Install, configure, and upgrade cluster components
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization
- Manage Hadoop ecosystem services (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark)
- Troubleshoot job failures, latency, and system issues
- Implement security (Kerberos, Ranger) and access controls
- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery
- Optimize cluster performance and capacity planning
- Support data pipelines and integration workflows
- Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, and cloud teams
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform or Hadoop administration
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark)
- Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of cluster monitoring and performance tuning
- Experience with scripting (Bash/Python)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS or product-based environments
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Understanding of data security and governance (Ranger, Atlas)
- Cloudera certification (preferred)
