Role overview

Migration oversight

• Lead migration activities across projects and track technical progress against scope, plans, and objectives.
• Review migration assessments, wave plans, and workload approaches, including rehost, replatform, refactor, and other 7 Rs.
• Review cutover, rollback, and hypercare plans and confirm readiness for go-live.
• Monitor technical risks and issues and agree mitigation actions with delivery teams.

Design review and technical guidance

• Review and approve HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, technical standards, and project deliverables.
• Define review checklists, acceptance criteria, and quality gates, and follow findings through to closure.
• Check alignment with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and confirm security and regulatory controls are covered.
• Advise on landing zones, account structure, network and hybrid connectivity, identity, backup, disaster recovery, and tooling.
• Coach engineers and solution leads and share lessons learned and reusable patterns.

Collaboration and governance

• Resolve technical challenges with project teams, client stakeholders, AWS, and third-party vendors.
• Represent technical positions in meetings and explain design trade-offs and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Act as escalation point for technical disagreements and decisions on supervised projects.
• Maintain technical decision records, contribute to review templates and reference architectures, and support presales when needed.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or IT consulting, including at least 4 years on AWS.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Experience leading or overseeing enterprise AWS migration delivery and reviewing designs and technical deliverables.
• Broad AWS services knowledge, understanding of migration methods, landing zones, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD.
• Experience managing technical risks and working with vendors and client stakeholders.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.

Preferred qualifications

• AWS Specialty certifications in Security or Advanced Networking, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks including NCA ECC/CCC, SAMA CSF, and PDPL.
• Experience reviewing disaster recovery and business continuity designs.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP on AWS.
• Multi-cloud exposure to Google Cloud or Azure, or consulting experience with government, banking, energy, or telecom clients in KSA or GCC.
