  • Payout: $20 - $120/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Junior Software Engineer (Open 3D Engine) to work on a contractor basis.

This individual will play a pivotal role in training next-generation AI systems for 3D environments, leveraging expertise in Open 3D Engine (O3DE) to generate high-quality, synthetic data.

By contributing to AI model training, this person will enable AI systems to learn, reason, and construct high-performance, AAA-quality digital worlds.

This role is critical to the development of frontier AI models and contributes to the growth of the human intelligence layer for AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement interactive 3D scenes and simulations using Open 3D Engine (O3DE) for AI training purposes.
  • Leverage the full suite of O3DE tools, including Atom Renderer, Component Entity System, Gems, and Asset Processor, to create high-fidelity, effective environments.
  • Collaborate with the customer's team to transform conceptual ideas into finished AI training workflows and scenarios.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines to generate high-quality, synthetic data for AI model training.
  • Participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure the quality of the developed software.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Open 3D Engine (O3DE), including the Component Entity System, Atom Renderer, and Physics Simulations.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience with game development, AI training, and data generation.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
