A healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Optometrist.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Conduct refraction and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.
- Perform diagnostic ophthalmic investigations and assist ophthalmologists with clinical assessments.
- Identify patients with ocular abnormalities or conditions and refer them appropriately.
- Educate patients about eye health, contact lenses, and vision care.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other clinical team members to support the patient journey.
- Comply with applicable clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid DHA/DHCC license as applicable; a DHA license is specified as required.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Clinical experience in an ophthalmology or eye-care setting is preferred.
- Strong refraction and diagnostic assessment skills.
- Good communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
