Role Description
The Cleaner role is a full-time, on-site position based at Abu Kaabi Kabab Restaurant and Grills in Abu Dhabi.
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the dining area, kitchen spaces, restrooms, and storage areas.
Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, disposing of waste, and ensuring that tables, chairs, and service areas are clean and ready for guests.
The role also involves safe use of cleaning products, following health and safety guidelines, and assisting with basic organizing and replenishing of cleaning supplies.
The Cleaner works closely with the restaurant team to support smooth operations and a welcoming environment for guests.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, and waste disposal with attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety practices, or willingness to learn and follow these procedures.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move between different areas of the restaurant, and lift or carry light to moderate loads as needed.
- Good time management and organizational skills to prioritize cleaning tasks and maintain consistent standards during busy service hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with kitchen, service, and management staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality environments is an advantage but not required; on-the-job training can be provided.
- Basic communication skills in English and/or local languages to follow instructions and coordinate with team members.
