Role Description
The Butcher is responsible for preparing and cutting a variety of meats, poultry, and to support daily restaurant operations.
This full-time role involves tasks such as trimming, portioning, grinding, and marinating meats according to menu specifications, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation for freshness and safety.
The Butcher will follow food safety and hygiene standards, maintain clean and organized workstations, and coordinate with kitchen and grill staff to meet service demands.
The role may include interacting with team members and, when needed, guests to answer product or preparation questions.
This is an on-site position located in Abu Dhabi.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in butchery and meat processing, including cutting, trimming, and portioning various cuts to restaurant standards.
- Ability to handle and prepare poultry with attention to cleanliness, safety, and consistency in portions.
- Customer service skills to support a positive guest experience when interacting with diners or front-of-house staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and proper storage and handling of meat, poultry, and seafood.
- Attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role within restaurants, supermarkets, or meat processing facilities preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
