Required experience
- Senior-level Oracle experience with complex SQL, PL/SQL, extraction, tuning, profiling, and production data analysis.
- Hands-on AWS Glue Python Shell and Python ETL experience loading validated data into Amazon Redshift.
- Strong Redshift, AWS DMS, dimensional modelling, star schemas, incremental loads, reconciliation, and data-quality controls.
- Strong Power BI experience with semantic models, DAX, Power Query, reports, dashboards, refresh, and optimization.
- Practical Ontario HRM Standard, FHIR, and HL7 v2 experience for healthcare reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Define reporting requirements, measures, data-quality indicators, acceptance criteria, and dashboard priorities with stakeholders.
- Analyze Oracle and application sources; develop and support Glue jobs and AWS DMS replication or change-data-capture processes.
- Implement and monitor full and incremental data pipelines, transformations, validation, error handling, logging, and reconciliation.
- Design and maintain the Redshift reporting model and optimize SQL views, materialized views, stored procedures, and queries.
- Develop Power BI models, measures, transformations, reports, and dashboards; translate healthcare data into consistent analytical definitions.
- Profile and reconcile data, tune platform performance, and prepare designs, mappings, test evidence, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Desired skills
- Dimensional modelling experience with fact and dimension tables, conformed dimensions, surrogate keys, slowly changing dimensions, and auditable metric definitions.
