Civil Site Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Resolve issues and conflicts arising during construction.
• Assist in preparing project proposals and bids.
• Monitor project progress and provide stakeholder updates.
• Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations on site.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve project efficiency.

Preferred candidate qualifications

• Proven experience in civil engineering and construction management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; detail-oriented focus on quality and safety.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools; strong leadership and team management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations; adaptability to changing project requirements.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of structural and civil engineering principles.
• Familiarity with construction health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project.

Work setting

• The role involves on-site construction supervision and travel to project sites as needed.
