What You'll Do
- Help design and improve the roads, intersections, roundabouts, multi-use paths, streetscapes, and other transportation infrastructure that connect communities throughout Ohio.
- Lead roadway design and plan production efforts for transportation projects serving local municipalities, counties, and ODOT using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with municipalities, counties, ODOT, contractors, and project partners to develop practical transportation solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency, and long-term value.
- Prepare construction plans, quantities, cost estimates, and bid documents that support successful project delivery.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals for roadway and transportation improvement projects.
- Work alongside engineers, surveyors, and industry professionals to deliver transportation projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life for the communities we serve.
What You'll Bring
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in transportation engineering, roadway design, public utilities, traffic engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to work onsite in our Sidney, OH office.
- Continuous learning mindset and desire for professional growth and development.
- Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience working with ODOT and local municipalities.
- Experience preparing roadway plans, quantities, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Experience developing project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
