Role overview

Construction and coordination duties

• Supervise and monitor daily civil construction activities at project sites.
• Ensure construction works follow approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Review architectural, structural, and civil drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities meet the approved schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Prepare and review RFIs, material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Identify site issues and coordinate technical solutions.
• Verify quantities and monitor materials used in construction works.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar construction regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
• Monitor concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, excavation, backfilling, and other civil works.
• Coordinate testing and inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Reporting and project closeout

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship.
• Assist with quantity measurements, variation orders, and project cost control.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are implemented on site.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve construction issues.
• Maintain records of drawings, approvals, inspections, and project documentation.
• Ensure works are completed and handed over in accordance with approved requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid MMUP/UPDA registration or certification in Qatar; the listing also specifies a required UPDA Grade A certificate.
• Relevant experience in civil construction projects in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and site practices.
• Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and authority requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong site supervision, coordination, and communication skills.
• A valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities effectively.

Contract and pay

• Job type: Contract.
• Pay starts at QAR 8,000 per month.
