Civil Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage civil and construction works, including structural, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, façade, and finishing works.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and technical documents; identify discrepancies and site issues.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP works with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Manage engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and labour; monitor site activities, resources, and productivity.
• Ensure work meets approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate RFIs, inspections, material approvals, technical submissions, and consultant/client approvals.
• Monitor progress, delays, quantities, variations, claims, and cost-control matters.
• Manage quality, snagging, rectification, and project handover; resolve practical site problems.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of civil engineering or construction experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Hands-on site execution experience and ability to independently manage significant project portions.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority requirements, construction sequencing, quality control, and site management.
• Able to interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings and coordinate project stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; good command of English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant construction/project management software.
• Previous UAE/GCC experience is strongly preferred; a UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 10,000–15,000 per month.

Work arrangement

• Full-time, in-person work in Dubai, UAE.
