Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities and coordinate skilled and unskilled workers, including masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and helpers.
• Execute civil works according to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor concrete, blockwork, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, excavation, backfilling, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with site engineers and other construction teams; check dimensions, levels, alignment, and completed-work quality.
• Check reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, and levels before concrete pouring; supervise reinforcement and shuttering against approved drawings.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with the storekeeper or site engineer to avoid delays.
• Allocate manpower, organize daily schedules, and maintain productivity and timeframe targets.
• Identify and report site issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager; coordinate inspections with engineers and consultants.
• Ensure workers follow UAE safety regulations, project HSE procedures, and PPE requirements; maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and communicate work requirements to workers.
• Assist engineers with progress reports and daily productivity monitoring; ensure proper care and use of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Support snagging, rectification, and finishing before project handover.

Requirements

• Diploma required.
• Eight years of experience as a civil foreman in the UAE required.
• Practical knowledge of UAE construction procedures, standards, safety requirements, quality control, and coordination with engineers and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and communicate work requirements clearly to workers.
