Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities on site.
- Assign work to workers and ensure tasks are completed as planned.
- Assist the Foreman or Site Supervisor in managing manpower and productivity.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers follow PPE and site safety rules.
- Monitor workmanship quality and report issues to the Foreman.
- Coordinate with engineers, foremen, and other trades to avoid work conflicts.
- Monitor material usage and inform the Foreman when additional materials are needed.
- Maintain housekeeping and a safe working area.
- Prepare basic daily manpower and progress updates as required.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience as a Civil Chargehand or similar in high-rise residential building construction.
- DM and/or DDA authority-approved project experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of civil construction methods and site activities.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to lead and coordinate workers effectively.
- Good knowledge of site safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
