Chief Security Architect

Role

Responsibilities

• Assess current and proposed solutions for security risks; define security standards and patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership on secure technical roadmaps.
• Lead threat modeling and guide secure design reviews; oversee security documentation.
• Support incident response with architectural expertise and mentor technical teams.
• Track emerging threats and technologies and recommend security improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Proficiency in application security, secure SDLC, code review guidance, and software security controls.
• Deep cybersecurity knowledge, including threat modeling, risk assessment, governance, and compliance.
• Hands-on network security experience with segmentation, firewall policies, VPNs, and hybrid or cloud connectivity.
• Knowledge of information security, data protection, identity and access management, and security policies.
• Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments; familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS controls is listed.
• Clear communication and ability to influence architecture and product decisions; senior security or architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or listed certifications are beneficial.
