Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the real estate sector, based in Doha, Qatar.
We are seeking for highly known client a highly capable and commercially intelligent leader to oversee and manage all operations of the real estate sector.
The role requires full operational responsibility across property management, leasing, tenant relations, maintenance, financial performance, contracts, and strategic growth.
The ideal candidate must possess strong financial discipline, operational leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to build efficient systems that maximize profitability, occupancy, tenant satisfaction, and long-term asset value.
The COO will oversee daily business operations, develop and implement business strategies, and ensure the alignment of operational processes with organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
include managing the planning and execution of operations, supervising budgeting and financial functions, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
The COO will also work closely with stakeholders to drive organizational growth and success while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full operations of the real estate portfolio, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
- Manage leasing operations, tenant relationships, renewals, collections, disputes, and occupancy optimization.
- Supervise all maintenance, facilities management, contractors, and property service providers to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency.
- Review, negotiate, and monitor all contracts related to leasing, vendors, maintenance, facility management, and operational services.
- Ensure strong financial oversight across the real estate sector, including:
- budgeting
- cash flow management
- cost control
- rental income optimization
- profitability improvement
- expense reduction strategies
- Develop and implement operational systems, SOPs, reporting structures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and governance.
- Monitor property performance and prepare executive reports on:
- occupancy rates
- rental collections
- operational costs
- maintenance status
- profitability
- risks and improvement opportunities
- Lead negotiations with tenants, suppliers, contractors, and strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, municipal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities for:
- portfolio growth
- operational restructuring
- asset enhancement
- value creation
- investment optimization
- Coordinate closely with executive management and ownership regarding strategic decisions and asset performance.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Business Planning and Operations Management to design and implement effective business strategies.
- Exceptional Analytical Skills to evaluate operational performance and solve complex challenges
- Proficiency in Finance and Budgeting to manage financial plans, forecasts, and resource allocation effectively
- Proven leadership capabilities with excellent decision-making and organizational skills
- Experience in the real estate sector or a similar industry is preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site and manage cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and lead teams effectively
