Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced **Chief Accountant** with **more than 15 years of proven experience**, preferably in a **contracting / construction company**.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in **financial reporting, project accounting, cost control, and accounting software systems**, with the ability to lead the finance function and provide strategic financial support to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full accounting and finance operations of the company.
- Prepare **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports**.
- Generate **MIS reports, cash flow statements, P&L, balance sheet, and project-wise profitability reports**.
- Monitor **project costing, budget control, subcontractor payments, and expense allocations**.
- Ensure accurate accounting for project materials, labor costs, overheads, and revenue recognition.
- Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with **UAE VAT regulations, IFRS standards, and statutory requirements**.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee accounting software / ERP systems and ensure accurate financial data management.
- Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Lead and supervise the finance and accounting team.
Mandatory Requirements
- **More than 15 years of accounting experience**.
- **Mandatory experience in contracting / construction companies**.
- Strong focus on **financial reporting and MIS reporting**.
- Excellent knowledge of **accounting software / ERP systems**.
- Strong understanding of **project accounting and cost control**.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as **CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA** preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in **MS Excel and financial reporting tools**.
- Good knowledge of **UAE VAT and IFRS**.
