Role overview

Food preparation and cooking

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, mixing, and storing food.
• Cook to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods and operate kitchen cooking equipment.
• Test food for doneness, monitor quality, portion and plate food, and set up or break down the workstation.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check food and appliance temperatures.

Safety and teamwork

• Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, communicate clearly, and work cooperatively toward quality standards.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license/certification specified.

Work conditions

• The position is not remote and is based at the kitchen workplace.
• Requires extended standing or walking, reaching, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
