Chef de Partie role in Food and Beverage and Culinary; full-time schedule and non-management position.
The position is not remote and is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha 1, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai.
Food preparation and quality
- Prepare special meals or substitutes, cook to recipes and standards, and prepare cold foods.
- Regulate cooking equipment, thaw food safely, and ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish.
- Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Tell the Chef about excess food for daily specials and inform service staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
Teamwork, safety, and service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow company and safety policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe incidents, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and address guest service needs.
- Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, support team goals, and meet quality standards.
- The role includes extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and moving or carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is stated as required.
