About This Role
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, prepare financial forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Process and review invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in financial performance.
Qualifications
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least one year experience in accounting and/or tax compliance and/or tax advisory.
- Excellent knowledge of UAE and Dubai tax legislation.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) would be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
