Provide day-to-day supervision of technicians and helpers performing civil works for project requirements.
Ensure work is completed on time and to high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare bills of quantity for materials and machinery for the allocated area.
- Allocate fitters, electricians, and helpers efficiently within the project budget.
- Prepare daily progress reports for the supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of stock, equipment, and materials.
- Address snag points and minimize risk.
- Ensure workers follow safety regulations and complete work efficiently and on time.
- Check toolbox stock and verify returned equipment is safe and in working condition.
- Control material usage at the work site.
- Use installation drawings to carry out work with the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the same role; source wording is ambiguous: “Min. HSE, 8 previous exp.”
- Knowledge of basic installation drawings, cable schedules, and relevant hand tools and machines.
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and supervise work within budget.
- Physical fitness for extreme weather and manual work.
- Ability to reason through alternative solutions and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to understand spoken information.
- General to good knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
