Full-Time | Multi-Center Leadership | Education & Operations Focus
Are you passionate about education, developing great instructors, and helping students build confidence in math?
Mathnasium is looking for a Floating Center Director to support our learning centers throughout the Tallahassee area . This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make an impact across multiple teams rather than at just one location.
This role has a strong focus on educational leadership, student progress, instructor development, and center operations , while also providing leadership coverage and support wherever it is needed most.
Who We Are
Fortis Franchise Group is the #1 Mathnasium franchisee in the United States , operating 70+ Mathnasium locations across seven states and serving more than 8,000 students.
We’ve been recognized by Mathnasium for Best Turnaround of a Resale and Top Multi-Unit Operator by AUV , and we’re continuing to grow.
At Fortis Franchise Group, our mission is simple: change lives through math. We believe exceptional student outcomes begin with strong educational leadership, well-developed instructors, and a consistent experience for every family.
The Opportunity
As a Floating Center Director , no two days will look exactly the same.
You’ll work across our Tallahassee-area Mathnasium centers, partnering with Center Directors and instructional teams to strengthen the educational experience, develop instructors, support students and families, and provide additional leadership wherever it is needed.
One day you may be leading the instructional floor and coaching instructors. Another day you may be reviewing Learning Plans, conducting assessments, meeting with parents about student progress, or providing Center Director coverage at another location.
This position is ideal for an educator who is also a strong leader — someone who can walk into a center, quickly understand what the team needs, and jump in to make an impact.

Help develop Lead Instructors and other emerging leaders
Model excellent instruction, professionalism, and leadership
Step in to provide direct instruction when needed
Student & Family Experience
Build strong relationships with students and families across the Tallahassee centers
Conduct student progress conversations and educational meetings with parents
Clearly communicate student progress, Learning Plans, and educational recommendations
Partner with families to address educational questions or concerns
Help ensure students remain engaged, challenged, and excited about their progress
Create a welcoming, professional, and consistent experience for families at every location
Assessments & Enrollment Support
While this position is more heavily focused on education than a traditional Center Director role, you'll still be equipped to support the complete family experience.
Conduct student assessments and clearly explain results to families
Make educational recommendations based on each student's individual needs
Support enrollment conversations as needed
Help new families transition successfully from assessment and enrollment into instruction
Partner with Center Directors to support student retention and long-term family relationships
Provide additional family and enrollment support during periods of high center demand
Multi-Center Leadership & Operations
Provide leadership support across multiple Tallahassee-area Mathnasium centers
Step into centers during leadership vacancies, PTO, training, staffing transitions, or other periods requiring additional support
Serve as Manager on Duty when providing center coverage
Quickly adapt to the needs, priorities, students, and team dynamics of different locations
Partner with Center Directors and District leadership to identify opportunities for improvement
Help reinforce consistent systems, processes, and expectations across Tallahassee locations
Support center opening and closing responsibilities as needed
Assist with special projects, training initiatives, and educational priorities across the market

1–2+ years of experience in education, tutoring, instructional leadership, learning center management, or a related field
