CDL-A New CDL Driver - Paid Training - Eastern Regional Job Type: Driving

Coastal Georgia: run the eastern half of the country with no dedicated customer to get stuck on. Paid training first, then your own truck.

A trainer rides with you for 3-5 weeks (200-250 hours)

You earn $850 every week of training

Backing, docks, hours of service and planning, all on live freight

After sign-off you move into your own truck

Solo drivers on this fleet average $1,000-$1,500 weekly

A $1,000 minimum every week for 3 months after your first solo dispatch

Weekly pay

Orientation runs up to 2 days and pays $300 after hire

Hotel during orientation

Travel to orientation by bus, reimbursed

Eastern US, from Savannah, Jacksonville and Atlanta to Tampa, Nashville and beyond

1,800-2,200 miles a week

Home every two weeks

Mostly drop and hook. Some loads need a pallet jack.

Mostly Freightliners, average tractor age around 1.5 years

Automatics and 10-speeds

A Class A CDL. Fresh out of school is fine.

At least 21

Acceptable record: max 2 moving violations in 2 years

No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years

Pass the DOT medical and drug screening (hair and urine)
