Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage network portfolio vendors and deliver value with business owners.
• Deliver savings and cost reductions without compromising business objectives, quality or service scope.
• Lead vendor negotiations, RFx processes and contract conclusions with Legal and internal stakeholders.
• Review vendor obligations, value, disputes and non-compliance through governance processes.
• Advise on vendor lifecycles; consolidate the vendor base and manage underperforming or redundant vendors.
• Evaluate future suppliers, approve compliant purchase requisitions and support vendor transitions.
• Implement category strategies and support procurement transformation and systems improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Telecom procurement experience and strong commercial and negotiation skills; category management experience is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead complex RFx processes and manage complex supplier contracts and performance.
• Reasoning skills and a track record delivering targets for savings, cost avoidance and working capital.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication with senior management and executive audiences.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, and understanding of purchasing policies and processes.
• Experience with ERP and P2P solutions; Oracle is ideal.
• A commercial degree or equivalent is desirable; engineering experience or qualification is also desirable.
