Lead development and delivery of category strategies across the UK and Ireland.
Drive commercial performance, sustainable value, supplier relationships, and sourcing strategies supporting regional and global objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop category sourcing strategies and deliver savings, commercial value, and supplier performance improvements.
- Negotiate regional agreements, manage suppliers, and lead category projects and initiatives.
- Align local and global procurement strategies and drive responsible sourcing and sustainability.
- Ensure procurement governance and due diligence, balance UK and Ireland requirements, and influence stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5 years' experience in Category Management, Procurement, or Strategic Buying.
- Contract negotiation and supplier relationship management experience, with commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills; experience in a matrix or multinational organisation.
- Degree educated and working towards CIPS, ISM, or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable experience
- Food and beverage procurement or category management experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of food supply chains, supplier markets, product specifications, and food safety standards is desirable.
- Experience with grocery, dairy, fresh or frozen food, meat and poultry, bakery, soft drinks, or hot beverages is desirable.
