Front-end associates direct customers to open registers and support customers at assisted checkouts.
The role processes transactions accurately and promptly using the GET checkout process.
Customer service
- Greet customers, engage during transactions, and thank them for their business.
- Use product and service knowledge to make appropriate suggestions.
- Treat customers and associates appreciatively and acknowledge waiting customers to help reduce checkout delays.
- Promote services such as credit, extended warranties, tool rental, and Pro Services.
Safety and asset protection
- Follow safety and loss-prevention policies and procedures.
- Follow front-end processes designed to mitigate shrink and protect assets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of retail or cash experience is an asset.
- Physical tasks include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
Competencies and skills
- Effective communication and customer focus.
- Interpersonal skills and cash handling.
Schedule and work environment
- Flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends.
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment that may be dusty and noisy, with drafts and interior temperature changes.
- No travel is required.
Pay
- The stated pay range is $18.60 to $19.60; no pay cadence is specified.
