Front-end associates direct customers to open registers, support assisted checkouts, and process transactions accurately and promptly using the GET checkout process.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and thank customers; acknowledge waiting customers and help minimize checkout lines.
- Demonstrate product and service knowledge and recommend options that meet customer needs, including credit, extended warranty, tool rental, and Pro Services.
- Follow safety and loss-prevention policies and procedures and help protect store assets.
Competencies and skills
- The role calls for effective communication, customer focus, interpersonal skills, and cash-handling skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of retail or cash experience is an asset.
- Physical duties include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
Working conditions
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment that may be dusty and noisy, with drafts and interior temperature changes.
- The flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends.
Pay
- The stated pay range is $18.85–$19.85; no pay cadence is specified.
