We are seeking a dedicated, customer-oriented, and detail-focused Restaurant Cashier to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate billing, maintaining cash records, and delivering exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant.
- Accurately process customer orders and payments through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Accept cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods while ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Generate and issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations.
- Maintain an organized and balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Perform opening and closing cashier duties, including cash reconciliation and preparing daily sales reports.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered promptly.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist customers with menu information, promotions, and special offers.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies in cash handling or billing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and front-of-house area.
- Follow company policies, hygiene standards, and food safety regulations.
- Support restaurant operations during busy periods and assist team members as required.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of company cash, documents, and customer information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in a restaurant, café, fast-food outlet, or hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, cash registers, and payment processing equipment.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.

- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service procedures.
- Strong problem solving abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues when needed.
