Job Description: Cashier – Abu Dhabi
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to manage transactions efficiently and provide excellent service at our retail outlet in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate billing, handle payments, and create a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in line with company policies
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balance and perform daily reconciliations
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with inquiries
- Ensure proper verification of age and compliance with UAE regulations for alcohol sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the billing counter
- Support the sales team during busy hours and promotional periods
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail role preferred
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- High school, diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail, supermarket, or beverage industry
- Knowledge of UAE retail practices and customer service standards
