Job Summary
The Carpentry Manager oversees carpentry projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
This role involves managing a team of carpenters, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage carpentry staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and other construction professionals to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain inventory of materials and tools; order supplies as needed.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
- Provide technical guidance and support to carpentry staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in carpentry and construction management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and carpentry techniques.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
